crazy times

June 18th, 2009

I’m so sorry for the slow update schedule.  Partly I’ve been in the process of moving for a while now and partly I had some post fanime lethargy. Seriously, sitting at a table for 10 hours a day drawing like a mad woman and acting in super genki hyper mode was a bit too much for me. (Some people found in awe inspiring though :) ) Anyway even though I haven’t been working as much on pictures for this site I have been drawing a lot of hot women.

I’ll have to take some pictures of some sexy watercolors I’ve done too, but alas my camera has wandered away at the moment. Hopefully it’ll pop up once I finally get settle in at my new place.

pink cake at fanime

Hello Everyone!

I know it’s late notice, but I’ll be in the artist’s ally at fanime this memorial weekend. So if you want to come by, I’ll be there all 4 days. (trying to sell prints desperately ^^; )

Even if you don’t want to buy anything please come and talk to me, I promise it’ll be fun. Also you can see for yourselves that I’m not some creepy perverted old man, just a cute little independent artist.

If there is some commission you’ve been thinking of, please email me with this form and then you can pick it up at fanime. There will be really cheap prices (because I’ll be competing against highschool students o_O) and there will be no shipping charges. I won’t even charge tax! What more could you ask for?

See you there! Cheers!

PS hmm should I go back to Miri or do something else… decisions decisions…

From my perspective

Since I do all my digital paintings in print resolutions I find myself getting up close and personal with my paintings all the time. This is a quick detail of wild girl at full resolution.

Now you can see how messy I am ^^;

Thinking of which, if anyone is interested in seeing my OpenCanvas event files, leave a comment and let me know. The problem with event files is you don’t get to see how much stuff I undo, and you don’t get an idea of how slow I go. I have been thinking it might be fun to screencast, especially if people watch then it’ll force me to stay put. However, I am worried it would be too painful to watch.

why did I name it pink cake?

March 29th, 2009

alternative pink cake entranceI always wanted the word pink to be part of the site name because pink is such a feminine color and it also has sexual tones in japanese terminology (apparently blue means the same thing in english, but I heard about pink first because I’m such a backwards person.)  And then I had to figure out what word would go with pink. Like pink pussy is way too explicit, and not nearly cute enough. Shaded pink was a bit too vague. Pink cherry would have been nice, but it was already taken. And then I found out that cake was a euphemism for vagina, ’cause its warm moist and delicious! I guess I figured it has nice girl appeal. Well I wish I tasted as wonderful as cake does.

It made me really excited about the entrance picture too. I thought up a lot of different ways to combine naked ladies with cake. Here is one that I liked but I figured wouldn’t be readable enough because I’m not sure everyone knows about log cake. Log cake is super wonderful, either in the whipped cream filled Chinese bakery variety or in the baum cake German/Japanese variety which has thinner rings.

I think it is a good name because it is easy to type and easy to remember. However, I noticed when I actually try to say it outloud it ends up being very difficult to say. So I have been practicing ^^;

「ピンクケーキ」をよくに言って頑張りますよ!

Hello world!

March 26th, 2009

Lookee, a nice shiney new blog! Since I like talking about my art process, inspiration, and what I cooked for dinner, I figured it would be fun to have one.
